Smee

On Christmas Eve, Tony Jackson had had a good dinner with his friends, and when they finished dinner, they decided to play Hide and Seek. However, Tony refused and proposed playing "Smee" but without him. His friends asked him why he didn't want to play Hide and Seek. He explained that ten years ago, a girl playing Hide and Seek fell down the stairs, broke her neck, and died.

Then he explained what had happened playing "Smee" five years ago: after explaining all the rules and after two hours, when the game had finished, people playing with Tony said they had found "Smee," and that it was, incredibly, Brenda Ford, the girl who had broken her neck and died ten years ago!

The Judge's House

It was April, and John Moore decided to go to a town far away to take an exam later. As soon as he arrived in the town called Benchurch, he went to a house and rented it for three months. When he spoke with the owner of the house, she informed John of the history of the house: the judge's house. The people of the town said that the judge who lived in that house was very severe, and one day he was found hanged with a rope; moreover, the sirens and bells began to sound, but the boy ignored that history.

After a period of time during which the boy was having some strange feelings in the house, one day the sirens and bells began to sound in the town. The people went to the house and found John Moore hanged with the same rope as the judge. Under the body, there was a fallen chair, and the face of the judge painted in the picture showed a malignant smile...

The Stranger in the Mist

Beverly has built a house in Wales and invites his friend Giles Hampton to spend a few days there. Giles is delighted, and one day he decides to go on an excursion through the mountains and hills because he loves geology, but the weather is really bad, and a very thick fog appears. Giles gets lost. A man who speaks in Welsh appears through the fog and has a map to return to the house, which he gives to Giles.

At the end of the day, Beverly, his servant, and Giles discover that the mysterious man who helped Hampton return home was Madog ap Rhys, who died in 1720. There are many stories about him that say he helps travelers who have lost their way.

Beverly ha construido una casa en Gales e invita a su amigo Giles Hampton a pasar unos días allí. The Confession of Charles Linkworth

Charles Linkworth was a man who had never agreed with his mother, and one day, when his wife went out, he decided to kill his mother and bury her body in the garden. Time passed, and nobody knew anything about his mother because he had lied to everyone until one day when the police discovered his mother's body buried. They arrested Charles and condemned him to death.

In the prison, after he was executed, the chaplain and a doctor went to his cell to verify his death, but there was no rope to hang Linkworth. They decided to go to his house, and they had the same feeling as in the cell: the spirit of Linkworth was there. For a few seconds, Charles appeared dead with a horrible face and with the same rope as in the cell, and then he vanished, and all disappeared.

Charles Linkworth era un hombre que nunca estuvo de acuerdo con su madre, y un día, cuando su esposa salió, decidió matar a su madre y enterrar su cuerpo en el jardín. One day, James Murray was walking along the mountains of the north of England when it started to snow heavily. He was lost and very far from his house, and his wife was waiting for him. He found a man who took him to his master's house, where he could take refuge from the cold and eat. The man of the house said that James could return home by taking a coach.

Then, in the coach, the conductor didn't answer him, and when James looked at his face, he saw green and luminous eyes like a dead man, and the horses were completely crazy. After this, James woke up in his bed with his wife, who explained that the snow had stopped and he had appeared near the house. James didn't remember anything, but the next day he remembered everything that had happened. He never explained this story to anybody, only to his doctor, who told him that the story was a product of the cold and the blow to the head, but he remembered his experience very well...

Harry Peck and his friend Leithen were on an excursion until they arrived at the house called "Fullcircle." Leithen explained to Harry all the history of that house, who built it, and all the stories of the people who had lived there, up to the last inhabitants, the Giffens, friends of Leithen.

Julian and Ursula Giffen invited the boys to spend a few days there, while Harry continued to learn about the dense history of that house. They had a very good time drinking tea, fishing, etc. All the inhabitants seemed to have something in common: their transformation to Christianity. The boys deduced that it could be because of its first inhabitant... but the Giffens broke that tradition. After several months, the boys returned to Fullcircle, and Julian showed him her new altar, which his wife wanted to build. It is a mystery why she had also transformed to Christianity...
