Verbo to be: I am, you are, he is, she is, it is, we are, they are.

Presente simple: Acciones habituales: I go to school every day (he/she/it goes).

Presente continuo con intención de futuro: I am going to marry (Voy a casarme).

Presente continuo: se agrega -ing al verbo.

You are going to marry (+)

Are you going to marry? (?)

You are not going to marry (-)

Reported speech: verbos usados (said, reported, told, believed, thought). I say I like you. He said he likes me.

Past continuous: I was writing when the phone rang (Estaba escribiendo cuando el teléfono sonó).

I used to be happy before I got married (Solía ser feliz antes de casarme, jajaja).

Have to: obligación propia.

Have got to: obligación externa.

Want to: querer algo.

Need to: necesitar algo.

Like to: desear algo.

I wish I could + verbo en pasado (Me gustaría poder...)

Relative clauses: Dos frases que se unen usando una palabra. Ej: I won the Miss Universe, because I am pretty (Gané Miss Universo porque soy bonita).

Adverbs of quantity: Adverbios de cantidad:

  • A lot (of): Un montón (contable) - food, drinks (comida, bebida).
  • Very much: Mucho (no contable) - emociones.
  • Many: Harto (contable) - amigos (friends).
  • Some: Algo (té, o bebida, o alimentos en envase).
  • A few: Un poco, líneas de escritura, pensamientos.

Verbos modales: Might: podría. Must: deber.

Voz pasiva: Importa que las cosas sean hechas, no quién las hace.

John cleans the dishes: The dishes are cleaned by John (Presente simple).

Children are collecting candies on Halloween: On Halloween candies are being collected by children (Presente continuo).

Axl Rose gave a concert on Saturday: A concert was given on Saturday by Axl Rose (Pasado simple).

I was writing a letter when the telephone rang: A letter was being written by me when the telephone rang (Pasado continuo).

I have visited England last year: England has been visited last year by me (Presente perfecto).

The mechanic had fixed my car two years ago: My car had been fixed two years ago by the mechanic (Pasado perfecto).
