Dominando el Inglés: Tiempos Verbales, Redacción y Más

Tiempos Verbales

• Futuro: Se usa Will cuando no se tiene el control de la acción (tomorrow, next...). Se usa Going to cuando tenemos el control absoluto de la acción.
• Oración Relativa: He is a man who makes it.
• Voz Pasiva: Houses are made by him.
• Estilo Indirecto: He said he worked. He asked me if I lived there. Cambiar adverbios de tiempo y de lugar.
• Oraciones Condicionales:
  • If + presente ... Will: If you phone me, I will go.
  • If + pasado ... Would: If I had money, I could buy it.
  • If + pasado perfecto ... Would Have + pasado participio: If you had studied more, you would have passed.

Preposiciones

• Tiempo:
  • In: partes del día, meses, estaciones, años y siglos.
  • On: días de la semana, fechas, on holidays.
  • At: horas, at Christmas, at night, at the weekend.
  • Otros: before, after, until, during (¿cuándo?), for (¿durante cuánto tiempo?), since, from ... to.
• Lugar:
  • In: en/dentro de.
  • At: en, espacio abierto.
  • On: en/encima/sobre.

Redacción

Para una buena redacción, se necesita buen vocabulario, muchos conectores, tiempos verbales diferentes y oraciones sencillas.

Introducción

Presenta el tema a tratar. Podemos empezar con "On the one hand, we can say that". Expresar algunos argumentos en contra con "Many people think that" y "Some people argue that".

Cuerpo

Establece tu opinión personal de forma clara con "According to" y "Statistics show". Comparar con "In comparison with" y "On the contrary". Escribir ventajas e inconvenientes. Expresar opiniones con "Personally, I think", "Obviously", "In my opinion", "To be honest", "I am in favour of", "I am against" y "From my point of view".

Conclusión

Utiliza conectores como "In conclusion" y "Finally".

Otros conectores útiles son: "Furthermore: Además", "Such as: Como", "Although: Aunque", "However: Sin embargo", "In contrast: En contraste".

Cantidad

• Some: afirmativo.
• Any: negativo e interrogativo.
• Otros: much, many, too much/many, how much/many?, a lot of, little, a little, few, a few.
