Dominando los Tiempos Verbales en Inglés y Verbos Irregulares Esenciales

Presente Simple

Tiene la misma forma que el infinitivo para todas las personas, excepto para la tercera persona del singular, que generalmente añade una -s.

• Afirmativa (A): I eat a lot.
• Negativa (N): I don't eat much.
• Interrogativa (I): Do you eat much?

Presente Continuo

Se forma con el presente simple del verbo to be + el verbo principal terminado en -ing.

• Afirmativa (A): I am eating a hot dog.
• Negativa (N): I'm not eating a hot dog.
• Interrogativa (I): Am I eating a hot dog?

Pasado Simple

Se forma añadiendo -ed al infinitivo. La negación e interrogación se forman con el auxiliar did. Recuerda que didn't es la contracción de did not.

• Afirmativa (A): I played in the park.
• Negativa (N): I didn't play in the park.
• Interrogativa (I): Did I play in the park?

Pasado Continuo

Se forma con el pasado simple del verbo to be + el verbo principal terminado en -ing.

• Afirmativa (A): I was sleeping in the park.
• Negativa (N): I wasn't sleeping in the park.
• Interrogativa (I): Was I sleeping in the park?

Pretérito Perfecto

Se forma con el presente simple del verbo to have + el participio pasado del verbo principal.

• Afirmativa (A): I've (have) walked for two hours.
• Negativa (N): I haven't walked for two hours.
• Interrogativa (I): Have I walked for two hours?

Pretérito Perfecto Continuo

Se forma con el pretérito perfecto del verbo to be + la forma en -ing del verbo principal.

• Afirmativa (A): I've (have) been running this morning.
• Negativa (N): I haven't been running this morning.
• Interrogativa (I): Have I been running this morning?

Futuro Simple

Se forma con will + infinitivo para todas las personas.

• Afirmativa (A): I will return tonight.
• Negativa (N): I will not return tonight.
• Interrogativa (I): Will I return tonight?

Futuro con 'Going To'

Se forma con el presente continuo del verbo to go + el infinitivo del verbo principal.

• Afirmativa (A): I'm (I am) going to stay at home.
• Negativa (N): I'm (am not) going to stay at home.
• Interrogativa (I): Am I going to stay at home?
