Características del Estilo

Se aceptan las innovaciones modernistas, pero evitando su versión más ampulosa y retórica. Se emplea un lenguaje sencillo pero elaborado y con lirismo. Se cultivan todos los géneros literarios, destacando la importancia del ensayo por su adecuación al componente reflexivo e ideológico del grupo.

El Vanguardismo

Es una corriente artística europea surgida a partir de 1910 que tiene diversas manifestaciones: futurismo, cubismo, surrealismo y dadaísmo. Se caracteriza por su ruptura con la tradición anterior y por el interés de crear nuevas formas artísticas y literarias.

Rasgos Principales

• Ruptura del principio de imitación: El artista ya no copia la realidad para construir su obra, sino que la inventa.
• Arte como juego: Para muchos movimientos vanguardistas, el arte no tiene carácter trascendente; es más bien un puro juego.
• Deshumanización: Una parte de la literatura y el arte vanguardista evita cualquier huella de sentimentalismo romántico en sus obras.
• Arte total: Se propone una interrelación entre las diversas artes.
