A continuación, se presenta una serie de frases en español con su correspondiente traducción al inglés, enfocadas en la práctica de diversas estructuras gramaticales, incluyendo la voz pasiva.

Conjunto de Ejercicios Iniciales

1. Hay muchos desastres conectados con la tierra, el aire, el fuego o el agua.
   There are a lot of disasters connected to earth, wind, fire or water.
2. Tuvieron suerte, todos sobrevivieron.
   They were lucky, everybody survived.
3. Los bomberos rescataron a nuestro hijo de 7 años (Voz Pasiva).
   Our seven-year-old son was rescued by the fire-fighters.
4. La vi caminando hacia mí.
   I saw her walking towards me.
5. Quiero que él viva cerca de mi casa.
   I want him to live near my home.
6. Un maremoto destruyó casi toda la ciudad (Voz Pasiva).
   All the city was destroyed by a tidal wave.
7. El viento puede alcanzar velocidades de 100 km/h.
   The wind can reach speeds of 100 km/h.
8. La letra es tan diminuta que no puedo leer sin mis gafas.
   The handwriting is so tiny that I can’t read it without my glasses.
9. Estaba muy sorprendido cuando oí la noticia.
   I was very surprised when I heard the news.
10. Estaba absolutamente exhausto después de haber corrido tantos kilómetros.
    I was absolutely exhausted after running so many kilometres.
11. Cámbiate el vestido, está asqueroso.
    Change your dress, it is filthy.
12. ¿A qué hora te despiertas generalmente? Generalmente me despierto a las 7:30, pero siempre me levanto a las 7:45.
    What time do you usually wake up? I usually wake up at 7:30 but I always get up at 7:45.
13. Hay muchas montañas nevadas cerca de mi casa.
    There are a lot of snowy mountains near my home.
14. Es una casa tan enorme que al menos 20 personas pueden vivir cómodamente allí.
    It is such an enormous house that at least 20 people can live there comfortably.
15. Se cayó a la piscina porque la empujaron (Voz Pasiva).
    She fell down into the swimming pool because she was pushed.
16. Nadie pudo arreglar la silla rota (Voz Pasiva).
    The broken chair couldn’t be mended.
17. Me dijeron que no hablara tanto (Voz Pasiva).
    I was told not to talk so much.
18. Les enseñé a los visitantes el nuevo edificio (Dos formas pasivas).
    
    • The visitors were shown the new building.
    • The new building was shown to the visitors.
19. Les preguntará a los estudiantes una pregunta difícil (Dos formas pasivas).
    
    • A difficult question will be asked to the students.
    • The students will be asked a difficult question.
20. María me ha enseñado los nuevos cuadros (Dos formas pasivas).
    
    • The new pictures have been shown to me by Mary.

   The electrician has already been paid by me.
2. Han dejado la puerta abierta y los caballos se han escapado (P).
   The door has been left open and the horses have escaped.
3. La voy a llevar al hospital (P).
   She is going to be taken to hospital by me.
4. Debes planchar este vestido para esta noche (P).
   This dress must be ironed by you for this night.
5. Esta es la tercera vez que me han escrito (P).
   This is the third time I have been written to by them.
6. Me dijeron que no saliera con tanta frecuencia (P).
   I was told not to go out so often.
7. Le pidieron al extraño que saliera de la reunión (P).
   The stranger was asked to leave the meeting.
8. Le diré a María a qué hora sale el tren (P).
   Maria will be told what time the train leaves.
9. Debes terminar tus deberes inmediatamente (P).
   Your homework must be finished immediately.
10. Alguien debe hacer algo por esta pobre gente (P).
    Something must be done for those poor people.
11. El fuego destruyó muchas pinturas valiosas (P).
    Lots of valuable pictures were destroyed by the fire.

    I wasn’t invited to the party.
