Estructuras Causativas
Uso de los verbos **causativos** comenzando con el pronombre "I".
- The taxi driver collected us
I had the taxi driver collect us / I got the taxi driver to collect us - John arrived on time
I had John arrive on time / I got John to arrive on time - The waiter brought some water
I had the waiter bring some water / I got the waiter to bring some water - My colleague helped me write the report
I had my colleague help me write the report / I got my colleague to help me write the report - The children did their homework
I had the children do their homework / I got the children to do their homework
Diferencia entre Do y Make
Regla básica para diferenciar estos dos verbos tan comunes:
- To do: se usa para acciones generales o de rutina.
- To make: se usa para crear algo o cuando hay obligación.
