Aeropuerto y comprensión

  • Why are the passengers called to gather at Gate 12? To get on the plane.
  • What will happen if the girl finds her boarding card but it is late for boarding? They will wait for her.
  • The girl doesn't know where to look for her boarding pass. False. Justify: Maybe it is on the chair I was sitting on.
  • Unless the boarding card is on the chair, the girl won't get on the plane. True. Justify: If the boarding card is not there, she won't get on the plane.

Reported Speech (1-2)

  • Direct speech: Receptionist to Paco, "Why are you leaving tomorrow?"
  • Reported speech (corregido): The receptionist asked Paco why he was leaving the following day.
  • Direct speech: Policewoman to Paco, "Show me your driving license!"
  • Reported speech (corregido): The policewoman ordered Paco to show her his driving license.

Conditionals (3-4)

  • Ejercicio (3rd conditional): If Paco (have) a fast car he (drive) to Bombay. (3rd type)
    Corregido: If Paco had had a fast car, he would have driven to Bombay.
  • Ejercicio (2nd conditional): Paco (rent) a car if the car hire (be) next to the hotel. (2nd type)
    Corregido: Paco would rent a car if the car hire were next to the hotel.

Notas y aspectos clave
  • Reported Speech: los tiempos verbales suelen retroceder (present → past, will → would, etc.).
  • Conditionals: distingue claramente entre 2nd conditional (situaciones hipotéticas presentes/futuras) y 3rd conditional (hipótesis sobre el pasado).
  • Modales perfectos: (should have, could have, would have) se usan para hablar de acciones pasadas no realizadas o críticas sobre el pasado.
  • Ortografía y mayúsculas: nombres propios como Vietnam, Bombay y nombres de ciudades deben escribirse con mayúscula inicial.
  • Puntuación: usa comas para separar oraciones subordinadas y evita puntuación duplicada (".." o "...").
