Capítulo 5

That everyone with the name Frankenstein would die. 4. Because he was blind. He could not see how ugly the Monster was. 5. The girl screamed and fell to the ground. When the Monster tried to help her, her brother shot at him. 6. (a) He wanted to make the child his friend. (b) Because the child screamed and said that he would tell his father about the Monster. He said that his father's name was Frankenstein. (c) So that people would think she had killed the child. Then she would die too.

Capítulo 6

1. A woman who would love him. She must be as ugly and terrible as he was. 2. Because he was unhappy. 3. Far from towns and people. 4. He wanted Victor to stay in Geneva with his friends. 1. He said that he was a murderer. He said that he was the murderer of William and of Henry Clerval. 2. Because he was many miles away from the house where Henry Clerval's body was found. And he was in Heidelberg when William was killed in Switzerland. 3. Because he was afraid of the Monster. If he saw the Monster, he would shoot him. 4. A small inn beside the lake. 5. Because the Monster had said he would return on Victor's wedding night. He was sure the Monster was near. He wanted to find him and kill him. 6. He killed Elizabeth, because Victor had killed his bride.

Capítulo 9

1. (a) It is a place of ice and snow. It is very cold. (b) Because he has his gun.
2. (a) Because Frankenstein made him. He made him ugly. Frankenstein ran away from him when the Monster wanted to be his friend. And he destroyed the friend he made for the Monster. (b) "What you say is true. I was the murderer of those I loved!"
3. He is going to make a fire and throw himself on the flames.
4. He decides to stay where he is, and to die there.
