L'Ablatiu Absolut: Exemples en Cèsar

Exemple 1: Exploració de Britània

«Cèsar, encara que en aquests llocs els hiverns són primerencs, així i tot es va proposar marxar a Britània. La construcció formada per exploratis omnibus rebus és un ablatiu absolut. Consisteix en un participi en ablatiu concordat amb un substantiu també en ablatiu, que li fa de subjecte (OPCIONAL: aquí el substantiu porta com a complement l’adjectiu omnibus).

Miguel's Daily Life: A Student's Routine

The Typical School Day

Hello, my name is Miguel. I’m going to tell you about a typical day at school.

I wake up at 6:30 a.m. I have coffee and toast for breakfast, I get dressed, and brush my teeth. I have to fall in ranks on the parade ground to attend the Morning Colours.

Morning Classes and Activities

My class begins at 8:00 a.m. Some days we do sport before the mid-morning break. Class continues until 2:00 p.m. After that, we have lunch.

Afternoon and Evening

At 3:30 p.m., we continue the classes, which finish around six o’clock. I go home, leave my bag, and I go to the gym, where I train for one hour. At the end of the day, I go home for dinner.
