Redacción y Ensayos (Writing)
Ensayo 1: ¿Es el trabajo duro más importante que la suerte para alcanzar el éxito?
Is hard work the most important part to be successful? Or does luck play an important role in our success? Many people think that luck is very important to get success. In my opinion, the only way to get a successful life is to work very hard.
First of all, success is not the result of a single lucky strike, but the result of a lot of work. Success normally happens after a long time. A stroke of luck, in contrast, is something that happens hardly ever. For example, we could just look at how the big companies started. At the beginning, many of them were family companies where only members of a small family worked, but after hard work, little by little these companies grew up. The companies didn't get success by a simply lucky strike.
Secondly, there is a big mistake when people ascribe to luck things which are really the result of a long time or of careful planning. For example, too many people think that if a product is successful it is because of a strike of luck. Why do some companies get success and others not? People tend to think that if some fail it is because of bad luck, but they don't think that maybe they didn't do a good job.
In conclusion, I think that success often comes as a result of hard work which is gradual and after a long process, and not because of good luck.
Ensayo 2: ¿Deben los libros escolares ser reemplazados por ordenadores portátiles?
Nowadays, computers and notebooks are very powerful tools in our lives. We normally use them for almost everything we do. So, the question in society is whether school books should be replaced by notebook computers. Let's see the advantages and disadvantages of using computers in education.
From now on, our lives will revolve around computers. So, students should learn to use them as soon as possible. In addition, students can get the latest information in real time. To get updated information traditionally takes a long time.
On the other hand, learning with notebooks could create problems due to students spending many hours in front of screens. Because outside the classroom young people are already exposed to them, schools should be the only place where students are not overexposed. Computers are still much more expensive than textbooks; many students and schools can't afford them. Moreover, lesson materials are often prepared for physical objects.
In conclusion, it's clear computers will be the future way at schools. However, this future needs time to be developed.
