WHO (quien) para personas
Se usa para hablar de personas. La estructura suele ser WHO + VERBO. Al unir las oraciones, desaparece el pronombre personal (HE / SHE / THEY).
- Ejemplo: I have got a cousin. She lives in New York. → I have got a cousin who lives in New York.
- Ejemplo: John bought a new cell phone. It was very expensive. → John bought a new cell phone which was very expensive.
Excepción de WHICH
- This is the book. I read it last week. → This is the book which I read last week.
WHOSE (cuyo/a) para posesión
Indica posesión. Al unir las oraciones, desaparece un adjetivo posesivo (MY, YOUR, HIS, HER, ITS, OUR, THEIR). La estructura es WHOSE + SUSTANTIVO.
- Ejemplo: That is the man. His brother is a famous actor. → That is the man whose brother is a famous actor.
- Ejemplo: This is the new shop. Helen bought a beautiful dress. → This is the new shop where Helen bought a beautiful dress.
- Ejemplo: December and January are the months. It is very hot. → December and January are the months when it is very hot.
- Ejemplo: I don’t know the reason. The market is closed today. → I don’t know the reason why the market is closed today.
- WHERE + PRONOMBRE/SUJETO: This is the restaurant where we ate sushi. (where + we + ate)
- WHICH + VERBO: This is the restaurant which makes the best sushi. (which + makes)

- WHY: Razón
