The Da Vinci Code

The Da Vinci Code: The film is about the search for the Holy Grail. Professor Langdon, an expert in symbology, is called by the captain of the French police one night at the Louvre Museum, where a painting restorer was found murdered. At the scene of the murder, Sophie, a police cryptographer, also appears. Sophie tells Langdon that the captain is going to arrest him, because they are convinced that he is guilty, since they have evidence of it. Sophie helps Langdon to escape, and she tells him that her grandfather (the murdered man) had left clues to find the Holy Grail. Following these clues, they find a key that takes them to a safe deposit box in a bank where they believe the Holy Grail is. They find a cryptex that hides the key to find it. They manage to escape from the bank and go to the house of an expert on the Holy Grail. Meanwhile, Silas, the assassin, searches for the key to find the Holy Grail while he is killing several monks who resist revealing the secret to him. Although Langdon and Sophie are pursued by the police and by Silas, they reach an abbey where Newton lies, where they will find the last clue to open the cryptex. There they find a traitorous monk with a weapon. To escape, Langdon throws the cryptex into the air, and the monk drops the weapon trying to save it. Later he realizes that Langdon had already cracked it and opened it. Consequently, the police end up arresting Silas and this monk. Langdon and Sophie fail to find the Holy Grail; however, Sophie discovers that her grandmother and her brother were alive. At the end, when Langdon returns to Paris, he finds out that the Holy Grail is under the Louvre Pyramid.
