Modelos Prácticos de Redacción en Inglés (Writings)
Writing 1: A Day in the Life of a Support Worker
I work as a family support worker and I help elderly people in their homes. Every morning, I visit a client who needs home care assistance because they have difficulties with some basic needs. First, I help them wash, get dressed and have breakfast, so they can improve their autonomy and independence. After that, I prepare healthy meals and help them with daily activities to promote their health. Sometimes, I accompany my client to medical appointments or go shopping with them. I also talk to them and keep them company because I know that some elderly people suffer from social isolation and loneliness. In my job, I always treat my clients with respect and sensitivity, especially when they feel vulnerable. I love my job because I can support other people, improve their quality of life and help them feel safer and happier.
Writing 2: Helping a New Resident at a Day Centre
This is Ahmed, a new client at our day centre, and he comes from Morocco. Our centre offers support to vulnerable people, including elderly people, immigrants and people with disabilities. We organise activities such as music therapy and group games to help clients make friends and prevent social isolation. We also provide healthy meals and health care to meet their basic needs and promote their health. In addition, our activities help clients improve their autonomy and feel more independent. Our staff treat everyone with respect and sensitivity, taking cultural diversity into account. We listen to Ahmed, answer his questions and help him feel safe and welcome in his new environment. Our aim is to improve his quality of life and help him feel part of the community.
