Oració: subjecte i predicat

Oració: subjecte + predicat.

Sintagma nominal (SN)

Sintagma nominal: (determinant) + nom + (cn). El cn pot ser un sintagma adjectival; l'adjectiu concorda en gènere i nombre amb el nom. També pot aparèixer un sintagma preposicional (sprep) —preposició + sintagma nominal— o una oració (que és un sintagma oracional). Per exemple: "que" + (SN) + SV.

El predicat

El predicat: pot ser predicat nominal o predicat verbal.

• Predicat nominal: el verb actua com a lligam entre el subjecte i els complements; funciona amb verbs copulatius o atributius.
• Predicat verbal: el nucli és un verb predicatiu i pot portar complements.

Expresiones Comunes y Colocaciones Verbales

A continuación, se presenta una lista de expresiones y colocaciones verbales esenciales en inglés, junto con su traducción al español:

Verbos Seguidos de Cláusulas o Infinitivos

Estos verbos suelen ir seguidos de una cláusula con "that" o de un infinitivo con "to":

The Ashby family consists of Miss Beatrice Ashby ("Aunt Bee"), a 50-ish spinster, and the four children of her late brother Bill: Simon, 20; Eleanor, 18-19; and twins Jane and Ruth, 9.
