• Afirmativa (3a persona): S'afegeix una -s al verb. He gets up early every day.
• Negativa: S'utilitza don't/doesn't + el verb en la seva forma base. My sister doesn't live in England.
• Interrogativa: S'utilitza Do/Does. Do you like horror films? Yes, I do. / No, I don't.

Regles ortogràfiques (3a persona del singular)

• Acabats en -s o so semblant: S'afegeix -es. kiss → kisses / brush → brushes
• Acabats en -o: S'afegeix -es. do → does / go → goes
• Acabats en consonant + y: La -y canvia a -ies. study → studies / cry → cries

Past Simple

• Afirmativa: I finished the book. / They finished dinner very late.
• Negativa:

At the Police Station

It was nearly lunchtime in the little village of Penmarron in Cornwall. Sixteen-year-old Linda Stevenson had been waiting for a long time in the small police station. She looked at her watch again and wondered if she should say something to the policeman who was ignoring her.
