A Bank Robbery in London: A Holiday Story
Historia del año pasado sobre el robo en Londres a un banco cuando estaba de vacaciones.
It all happened last year when I was on holiday in London and had to change some money. It was about eleven o'clock in the morning, and I took my place in the queue at the small local bank and waited to be served. Everything was very quiet, and all the people were waiting very patiently.
Then, a man wearing a black leather jacket and a crash helmet marched up to the front of the queue. People immediately began to complain. He pulled out a gun and shouted, "Hands up, everybody! This is a hold-up!" We all did as he said and watched the frightened cashier put the money into his bag. The cashier pressed the alarm button. The alarm began to sound, the robber shot into the air, and we all fell to the ground.
He ran out of the bank, and then we heard a motorbike start up. After that, we heard a terrible crash. We rushed out and saw the robber lying on the ground and a car on top of his motorbike. In the end, he wasn't injured, and he was arrested for robbing the bank.
My First Flight Experience: A Journey to Scotland
Experiencia del primer viaje en avión
Although I have had several excellent holidays, my trip to Scotland last year was truly memorable—however, not only due to good experiences.
As I had never been on a plane before, I had really been looking forward to flying. But once aboard the plane at Málaga Airport, I suddenly felt absolutely terrified: What if we crash? What if there are terrorists aboard? What if this, what if that? I was almost starting to panic when the plane began to move, slowly at first, but then faster and faster.
I nervously held onto my seat when the plane suddenly accelerated powerfully and, throwing me back in my seat, rose triumphantly into the gloriously blue Spanish sky, from where I gazed in wonder at the tiny figures below.
Surprisingly, and in spite of the initial panic, I felt much more relaxed once up in the air, and before I knew it, we were landing in Edinburgh. My holiday in Scotland was simply excellent, and although I felt slightly nervous getting on the plane for the return journey, it was nothing compared to that totally unforgettable, very first flight.
