The circus nowadays is very modern, there is much abundance of people, and if it had more serious technology, better a little like that, since see it in three dimensions. In spite of this, the people go because they like to see wild animals domesticated, as the lions, the zebras, the crocodiles, and elephants, that always are in the circuses of nowadays. Before, in the circuses, you could see gladiators were fighting and giving spectacles in the whole world. I have seen a fight of these ancient circuses and they were entertained enough. In short, that the circuses of nowadays are good, but I like them more before.

Fiction and Nonfiction

Fiction is a form of writing that tells a story about made-up characters and events. Fiction always has the same features:

• People or animals called characters
• A group of events called the plot
• A time and place called the setting
• Someone called the narrator who tells the story
• A message or idea about life called a theme
• A point of view

Point of View

First person point of view means that the narrator is part of the story. This narrator uses the word I to tell what happened.

Third person point of view means that the narrator is not part of the story. This narrator uses the words he and she to tell what happened.

Examples of Fiction

• Novel: long, with many chapters
• Novella: shorter than a novel but longer than a short story
