Pasado Progresivo en Inglés

Formas del Pasado Progresivo

Were: Se utiliza con los pronombres you, we y they.

Was: Se utiliza con los pronombres I, he, she e it.

Forma Afirmativa

• I was sleeping in English class.
• You were eating my lunch at school.
• She was drinking juice and milk.
• They were riding a horse.

Forma Negativa

• I wasn't sleeping in English class.
• You weren't eating my lunch at school.
• She wasn't drinking juice and milk.
• They weren't riding a horse.

Forma Interrogativa

• Was I sleeping in English class?
• Were you eating my lunch at school?
• Was she drinking juice and milk?
• Were they riding a horse?

Gramàtica Catalana: Conceptes Clau

La Veu Passiva i la Veu Activa

• Veu Passiva: El subjecte rep l'acció del verb.
• Veu Activa: El subjecte realitza l'acció del verb.

Exemple: Una pilota és comprada per Maria (Veu Passiva) - Maria compra una pilota (Veu Activa).

El Complement Agent (C. Agent) es troba en la veu passiva, introduït per les preposicions per o de. La veu activa no té Complement Agent.

Perífrasis Verbals

Les perífrasis verbals expressen matisos d'obligació, probabilitat, imminència, possibilitat, intenció, reiteració, culminació, progressió o duració.

• Obligació: haver de, caldre
• Probabilitat: deure
• Imminència: anar a, estar a punt de, començar a
• Possibilitat: poder

Tiempos Verbales en Inglés

Presente Continuo

Se forma con el verbo to be en presente + el verbo principal terminado en -ing.

• Si el verbo termina en -e, se omite la 'e' y se añade -ing (ej: make → making).
• Si el verbo tiene una sola sílaba y termina en vocal + consonante, se duplica la consonante final y se añade -ing (ej: run → running).
• Si el verbo termina en -ie, se cambia 'ie' por 'y' y se añade -ing (ej: lie → lying).

Pasado Simple

En verbos regulares, se añade -ed al final del verbo (ej: walk → walked).

Pasado Continuo

Se forma con el pasado del verbo to be (was/were) + el verbo principal con la terminación en -ing.

Ejemplo: I was playing the guitar.

Presente Perfecto
