A continuació es mostren diferents estructures útils per demanar, fer i respondre a suggeriments en anglès:

El Presente Continuo

Forma Afirmativa

El Presente Continuo se forma con el presente simple del auxiliar to be (ser/estar) y la forma en -ing (gerundio) del verbo principal.

Presente

Present Simple

• Routines / Habits: Maria smokes.
• Permanent Actions: Pedro lives in Sevilla.
• Current facts/truths: I have two brothers.

Present Continuous

• Actions happening NOW: Maria is smoking.
• Temporary actions: Juan is staying at the Marriott hotel.

Present Perfect

Se refiere a una acción ocurrida en el pasado, pero muy cercana al presente. I have been in Madrid this morning.

Pasado

Past Simple

Describe una acción pasada ya finalizada. When I was young I lived in Madrid (ahora vivo en Barcelona).

Past Continuous

Indica que una acción se estaba desarrollando en cierto momento del pasado al cual se hace referencia. No dice si la acción ya finalizó o todavía continuaba.
