Dominando los Tiempos Verbales en Inglés y Verbos Irregulares Esenciales

Presente Simple

Tiene la misma forma que el infinitivo para todas las personas, excepto para la tercera persona del singular, que generalmente añade una -s.

  • Afirmativa (A): I eat a lot.
  • Negativa (N): I don't eat much.
  • Interrogativa (I): Do you eat much?

Presente Continuo

Se forma con el presente simple del verbo to be + el verbo principal terminado en -ing.

  • Afirmativa (A): I am eating a hot dog.
  • Negativa (N): I'm not eating a hot dog.
  • Interrogativa (I): Am I eating a hot dog?

Pasado Simple

Se forma añadiendo -ed al infinitivo. La negación e interrogación se forman con el auxiliar did. Recuerda que didn't es la contracción de did not.

  • Afirmativa (A): I played in the park.
  • Negativa (N): I didn't play in the park.
  • Interrogativa (I): Did I play in the park?

Nació en Boston en 1809. Sus padres murieron cuando tenía 3 años; su segundo nombre se debe a su tutor, John Allan. Después de su servicio militar, publicó su primer libro de poemas: Tamerlane y otros poemas. Tras un período como columnista, comenzó a publicar sus primeros relatos de misterio y, fundamentalmente, de detectives, como Los crímenes de la calle Morgue, Tú eres el hombre y La carta robada.

The difference between consumption and consumerism is that people buy for consumption only what they need. In consumerism people spend everything they have on unnecessary products.
