Anàlisi Dialectal: Català Oriental i Aranès

El Català Oriental

Comprèn la zona est del Principat, les terres de la Catalunya Nord, les Illes Balears i la ciutat de l'Alguer. Es divideix en set subdialectes: septentrional, central, balear i alguerès.

El tret més destacable és la reducció en posició àtona de les vocals:

• Les vocals "a" i "e" es redueixen a la vocal neutra (ə).
