Tiempos Verbales de Pasado y Presente

• Pasado simple (Past Simple): Sujeto + verbo en infinitivo con terminación -ed (verbos regulares) o forma irregular (2ª columna). En negativa se utiliza el auxiliar didn't. Se suele asociar con la partícula temporal when.
• Pasado continuo (Past Continuous): Sujeto + was / were + verbo en gerundio (-ing). Suele coordinarse con la partícula temporal while.
• Presente perfecto (Present Perfect): Sujeto + have / has + participio del verbo (3ª columna). En forma negativa se emplea haven't / hasn't. Se utiliza para acciones pasadas que continúan o guardan relevancia con el momento presente. Diferencia clave: a diferencia del pasado simple, no especifica cuándo se produjo la acción

Mi experiencia con el dolor de cabeza causado por el estrés

Hace algunos meses tuve un dolor de cabeza muy intenso. Era tan fuerte y comenzó de manera tan extraña que decidí ir al médico. Después de una larga espera, me atendieron y el doctor revisó mi cabeza. Me dijo que podían existir muchas razones, pero que la causa más probable era el estrés, y que este estaba afectando mi salud.

Of Mice and Men is a novella written by John Steinbeck, which he employs to mirror and criticise the different aspects of the cruel American society of the 1930s. Steinbeck uses the characters' locations to criticise the lives that migrant workers led and to present his ideas on segregation and the unreality of the American Dream.

Steinbeck begins his novella in a natural location where he portrays the American Dream as utopian and, therefore, unrealistic. The characters George and Lennie are surrounded by 'sycamore trees' and a 'green pool'. The use of the word 'green' has connotations of 'fertility', portraying this land as the land of opportunities, as if George and Lennie could grow anything there and make a profit from it, thereby fulfilling...
